There are many digital cameras available which will take excellent pictures and are quite easy to use.  Canon produces some of the best models including those featured below.  All of these models use AA type batteries, either disposable alkaline or rechargeable, both of which are easy to find and inexpensive.  When making your decision to purchase a new camera, you should look for the highest megapixel rating as well as the highest optical zoom you can afford.
